Sasha Grey Is Used to Being the Only Girl

The actor discusses playing an alternate version of herself, and where the differences and similarities lie.

  • Did you have any qualms about playing yourself?

  • Honestly, no. I was familiar with the show, and I knew most people play an extended version of themselves, so I didn't feel like it was a gimmick where they were doing it because it was me.

  • What was it like working with a mostly male cast?

  • It wasn't weird at all. I'm used to being the only girl. I have a lot of guy friends, and I felt very comfortable. If you're wondering if they were gawking at me or did I feel like everybody was expecting something of me, no, it didn't feel like that.

  • How are you different from the ?Sasha Grey? of the show?

  • I'm definitely an open person. What you see is what you get. On the show, I'm kind of like Vince's race horse, and he's always trying to keep up with me. We're testing each other and seeing how far we can go, and that's definitely not me at all. I always want to do my best and prove that I can do it -- but this is more in terms of partying. We're trying to outdo each other and that's not who I am.
