More Stars Join Jennifer Garner in Camping

David Tennant. Ione Skye and Juliette Lewis are the latest to come aboard the half-hour comedy from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner (Girls) about a couple whose marriage is tested during a nature getaway.

Ione Skye (Say Anything, Zodiac) and Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, Hysterical Blindness) are the latest actors to join the Camping cast.

Based on a British series of the same name, Camping follows married couple Kathryn and Walt, who have planned a delightful weekend “back to nature” for Walt’s 45th birthday. But when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier-than-thou ex-best friend, and a free-spirited tagalong in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten.

Skye will appear as Carleen, sister of Jennifer Garner’s character Kathryn. A hospice worker and an unsuccessful equestrian who has spent her life in the shadows of her sister, the meek and terrified Carleen relies on her own strange passions, like crocheting with polyester yarn, to get her through the lonely days.

Lewis will play Janice, a multi-talented DJ, reiki healer and CPA. Her life may seem ideal — bouncing from man to man to woman to man — but the reality is far from that.

Previously it was announced that David Tennant will star opposite Garner as Walt, a loving husband and father struggling to contain a mounting discontent for the life he’s built.

Janicza Bravo (director, Lemon, Atlanta), Arturo Del Puerto (Independence Day: Resurgence), Brett Gelman (Married, Stranger Things), and Bridget Everett (Trainwreck) have also been announced as cast members.
