HBO Receives 12 Golden Globe Nominations

HBO earned the most nods of any television network, including six for Big Little Lies.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards. HBO, with 12 nominations, received the most of any television network, and Big Little Lies the most of any program. The HBO nominees are as follows:

Big Little Lies was nominated for six awards, including Best Television Limited Series. The cast earned nods for Best Performance by an Actress (Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon), Best Performance by an Actor (Alexander Skarsg�rd), and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Shailene Woodley and Laura Dern.)

The seventh season of Game of Thrones was nominated for Best Television Series (Drama).

For The Deuce, Maggie Gyllenhaal was nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Drama) for her role as Candy.

Issa Rae, the creator and star of Insecure, received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) for her character Issa Dee.

Wizard of Lies co-stars Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer both earned best performance (limited series or made for television) nominations for their portrayals of Bernie and Ruth Madoff.

Jude Law, star of The Young Pope, received a nod in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series.
