Anesio Gebara is well known in Rio de Janeiro: he owns a samba school and he bankrolls an illegal lottery. This drama series follows this man--who is seen throughout the city as a mob boss and probable drug trafficker--his family and his complicated relationship with his sons.

After the suicide of the beloved eldest son Anesinho, the three remaining brothers vie for favorite son in their father's heart.

With Carnaval on its way, the brothers are deeper into conflict. A young drug-user is pregnant with Brown's illegitimate child.

'Lion, the King of the Animals.' After a sale goes awry, Claudinho is forced to pay the remainder of Anesinho's debt.

'Arrivederci.' (Season Two Premiere) Rio de Janeiro, 2009. Four years after the carnaval that stained their lives, the Gebaras' legend goes on. These are new times, and within a fake operation, Claudio, the youngest Gebara brother, arranges the slot machine electronic card smuggling business, which soon might end the hegemony of the illegal bets in the streets of Rio.

'Paternal Heritage.' Claudio resorts to all means to find out Deo's whereabouts. The torture applied on Reinaldo, Síio's employee, is effective; Deo is located and Reinaldo's destiny is forged. Claudio decides to ask his brothers for help and fulfills the promise made to his widow.

'Rios Kings.' Thinking that the slot business is substituting the illegal bets in the streets of Rio, Rafael tries to convince Nilo to eliminate a large number of bet points. Meanwhile, Claudio's son Cris invites a group of friends to play slots at the shed, but things take an unexpected turn. Brown prepares to launch a new stage in the Samba School.

Secret Santa

The Gebaras are getting ready to celebrate Christmas. A romance begins between Gloria and Claudio. Comodoro, becoming impatient, activates his contacts with the police and sets his revenge on foot. Claudio, Nilo, and Brown are detained and taken to prison for crimes of tax evasion and gearing a criminal gang.

Common Grave

The Gebaras are imprisoned. Rafael and Claudio assume a policeman disappeared with the pen drive. With the help of his friend, Judge Norberto Bueno, and Ana Cristina’s father, Rafael tries to get Claudio out of jail. Brown asks Gloria to give his car keys to officer Clemente. She, on the other hand, will have to keep something she will receive safe.

Love Boat

Claudio and Nilo leave the prison. Gloria suggests to Brown that he should confess his treason to his brothers. He refuses and tries to persuade her to return with him. Meanwhile, Comodoro learns that Brown received aid from the police in the operation to take the pen drive away. Rosana makes two shocking revelations to Nilo that lead to trouble.

Blood Brothers

Season Two Finale. Gloria talks Brown into telling the truth to his brothers since they are the only ones who can protect him from Comodoro. By the end, only Nilo can avenge the family. Without anything to lose, he decides to go to the old vampire's house to settle accounts.
