J.B. Smoove's (Jaspar) breakout role was playing Leon on the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Smoove began his career in 1999 with a recurring role on MTV's "The Lyricist Lounge Show," as well as featured guest spots on "The Chris Rock Show" and "Premium Blend." He was a cast member on "Cedric the Entertainer Presents" and also served as a writer on "Saturday Night Live," which earned him a Writers Guild Award in 2007 for Best Comedy/Variety Series.

In the standup and acting worlds, Smoove has been featured on "Tough Crowd," "Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza," "Saturday Night Live" sketches, recurring spots on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "'Til Death." He hosted "Russell Simmons Presents: The Ruckus," shot his own one-hour stand-up special and co-starred in the series "Bent." Smoove's film credits include "The Dictator," "The Sitter," "We Bought a Zoo," "Hall Pass," "Ice Age 4," "Date Night," "Mr. Deeds" and "Pootie Tang."
