Hind Hassan is a correspondent for VICE News Tonight - the Emmy award-winning nightly newscast from VICE Media and HBO. Since joining VICE, Hassan has covered a wide range of global stories from the humanitarian crisis in Iraq, government-level corruption in Romania and the plight of refugees in Hungary. In June 2017 Hassan and a team from VICE News became the first international journalists to gain exclusive access to Argun Prison in Chechnya, where it was alleged that gay men were rounded up and tortured as part of an "anti-gay purge."
Prior to joining VICE News, Hassan worked as a reporter for Sky News where she reported on the U.K. terror trials, Julian Assange and the state of Syrian refugees in the U.K.
Hassan is based in London.
