I’m Your Girlfriend

Actor, comedian, writer and producer Whitney Cummings taped I’m Your Girlfriend in front of a live audience at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California. Whitney’s first HBO special, it features brutally honest, laser-sharp observations on modern gender dynamics, as she skewers the paradoxes of sex and relationships in an age when women have more power and independence than ever.

The special was directed by Marty Callner, who has helmed some of HBO’s biggest comedy events and worked with Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock, Robin Williams and many more.

Cummings is executive producer and co-creator, along with Michael Patrick King of Sex and the City, of the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series 2 Broke Girls. Cummings also wrote, produced and starred in Whitney, which aired on NBC from 2011 to 2013. She was named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” and one of Entertainment Weekly’s "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow."
