Cynthia Nixon (Michele Davis) is an Emmy®-, Tony- and Grammy Award-winning actress who has worked across the spectrum of film, television and stage since age 12. Nixon starred as Miranda for six seasons in HBO's Sex and the City, which garnered her an Emmy® Award, two SAG Awards for Best Ensemble Cast, two other Emmy® nominations and four consecutive Golden Globe nominations. She reprised her role in the feature film adaptations Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Nixon also earned Golden Globe, SAG Award and Emmy® nominations for her performance as Eleanor Roosevelt in HBO Films' Warm Springs, and garnered an Emmy® Award for Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her guest appearances also include The Big C, House M.D., ER and Papa's Angels. Nixon's other features include The Babysitters, Little Manhattan, One Last Thing, Igby Goes Down, The Out-of-Towners, Marvin's Room, Baby's Day Out, The Pelican Brief, Addams Family Values, Let it Ride, The Manhattan Project, Amadeus, Prince of the City and Little Darlings. On stage, Nixon won the Tony Award for Best Actress, a Drama League nomination and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize-winning Rabbit Hole. She won a Theatre World Award at age 14 for The Philadelphia Story and earned a Drama League nomination for the off-Broadway play Distracted. Nixon was also awarded a Spoken Word Grammy for her recording of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.
