Amanda Jenks

Amanda Jenks (producer) started her TV career as a director and then series producer of documentaries and factual series before making the transition to drama. Her recent producing credits include “Mysterious Creatures,” winner of the BAFTA-sponsored Mental Health Media Award 2008, which was written by Gwyneth Hughes, screenwriter of THE GIRL, and starred Brenda Blethyn and Timothy Spall, and “The Grey Man,” an adaptation of a short story by Andy McNab for BBC1. Jenks produced “An Englishman in New York,” starring John Hurt, who won a Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival 2009 for his portrayal of Quentin Crisp. The film was also named Best Feature at the Hamburg Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, received three BAFTA nominations and was short-listed for a 2010 Rose d’Or for Best Single Film.
