Unscripted Drag Series ‘We’re Here’ Comes to HBO

The series will feature Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara and Shangela Laquifa Wadley as mentors for people looking to express themselves through drag. Here’s what you need to know.

What it’s about: A six-part unscripted series set to debut this spring, We’re Here, will show small-town residents as they’re recruited and trained to participate in a one-night only drag performance.

Who you’ll recognize: In each episode, former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara and Shangela Laquifa Wadley will help prepare their “drag daughters” by teaching them how to step outside of their comfort zones.

Who’s behind the scenes: We’re Here is created and executive produced by Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram. Peter LoGreco will serve as director and executive producer, along with Eli Holzman & Aaron Saidman for Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation.

Caldwell Tidicue (Bob the Drag Queen), David Huggard (Eureka O’Hara) and D.J. Pierce (Shangela) will serve as consulting producers.
