Introducing The Inspiration Room
The Inspiration Room, featuring a collection of unedited women’s stories, is coming to New York this month. Starting the week of March 18 at 399 Lafayette Street in Manhattan, New York, HBO will host an interactive collection of women’s diaries and journals, with stories spanning from the 1800s to the present day.
In addition to featuring individual stories, the Inspiration Room will be hosting a variety of events, some of which will be open to the public. Check back to learn more about the schedule. While events require an RSVP, there is no advance notice required to visit the space. Drop in during operating hours, and if you wish, contribute your own story.
Tuesday, March 19: 11 am – 4 pm
Wednesday, March 20: 11 am – 4 pm
Thursday, March 21: 11 am – 4 pm
Friday, March 22: 11 am – 4 pm

Submissions to the Inspiration Room are now closed. While we cannot feature every submission we received, we want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone brave enough to speak to us, unedited. Thank you to everyone, including many HBO actors, directors, writers, and behind-the-scenes crew members, for sharing with us.
Many of the stories we received were uplifting, funny, resilient, deeply personal, tragic and moving. If you are carrying a heavy story you want to share, please consider these resources.
