Game of Thrones Wins 9 Emmys; Holds All-Time Series Record With 47

Barry, Westworld and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver were among HBO?s other honorees.

The 2018 Emmy Award winners have been announced and HBO netted a total of 23.

Game of Thrones garnered the most Emmys of any HBO series with nine total wins, including Outstanding Drama Series. Barry star Bill Hader was named Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. Hader?s co-star ? five-time nominee Henry Winkler ? took home his first Emmy with a supporting actor nod. Thandie Newton of Westworld won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series while Last Week Tonight with John Oliver received variety talk honors for the third consecutive year.
