This wildlife rehabilitation non-profit organization that cares for nearly 3,000 injured, orphaned, and oiled native wild birds each year ranging from hummingbirds to eagles. The group takes a teamwork approach to oil spill training and response, stressing the need for multiple stakeholders to work together both in preparations for and response to oil spills.

Audubon Society ? Gulf Oil Spill

The National Audubon Society supplied hundreds of volunteers to support wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and protection efforts during the height of BP's Deepwater Horizon oil disaster. With more than 100 years of experience in Gulf Coast conservation and restoration, Audubon and its grassroots network of caring Americans work hard each day to build a brighter future for Louisiana 895 and all the other birds, wildlife, and communities of America's Gulf Coast.

Louisiana State Animal Response Team
