Human Rights Campaign

This group works to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality by mobilizing grassroots actions, working to elect those who support equality, and organizing educational and media outreach campaigns.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Gay and Lesbian Task Force

The mission of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is to build the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The group does this by training activists, equipping state and local organizations with the skills needed to organize broad-based campaigns to defeat anti-LGBT referenda and advance pro-LGBT legislation.

Equality Across America

This group supports grassroots organizing across the country to achieve the goal of equal protection in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states. On October 10-11th, 2009, the group will lead the National Equality March in Washington, DC.

Courage Campaign - Camp Courage

The Courage Campaign is an online organizing network that empowers more than 700,000 grassroots and netroots activists to push for progressive change and equality in California. As a leading multi-issue advocacy organization in the progressive movement, the Courage Campaign's work is made possible by donations from community members across California and the country. Inspired by the "Camp Obama" training that powered neighbor-to-neighbor organizing across America in 2008, Camp Courage is an intensive training designed to teach the principles and skills of community organizing to activists working to restore marriage equality to California. Drawing on techniques honed for decades by progressive social movements, Camp Courage teaches empowerment, team building, leadership development, and grassroots organizing skills. Camp Courage Washington D.C. marks the first time the Courage Campaign takes this unique training outside of California.
