OSI-Burma Project/Southeast Asia Initiative

The Open Society Institute (OSI) seeks to shape public policies that assure greater fairness in political, legal, and economic systems and safeguard fundamental rights. The Burma Project was established by OSI to increase international awareness of conditions in Burma and help the country transition from a closed to an open society. The Burma Project provides grants to independent media to increase the quality and dissemination of informationabout Burma inside the country, regionally and internationally.

US Campaign for Burma

The US Campaign for Burma (USCB) is a U.S. based membership organization dedicated to empowering grassroots activists around the world to bring about an end to the military dictatorship in Burma. Through public education, leadership development initiatives, conferences, and advocacy campaigns at local, national and international levels, USCB works to empower Americans and Burmese dissidents-in-exile to promote freedom, democracy, and human rights in Burma and raise awareness about the egregious human rights violations committed by Burma's military regime.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) is an international nongovernmental organization that monitors, documents, reports on and advocates for an end to human rights abuses throughout the world. The group promotes human rights values as expressed in international human rights treaties and international human rights law.
