What has been integral to your personal healing?
My faith, family, and being able to use my story to support others and advocate for change.
What’s one way someone can be a better ally to survivors of sexual abuse?
Believe them, ask them what they need, try to understand they are going through trauma and it can be hard to be social, always be supportive of them.
What do you hope viewers take away from the film?
Anyone can be a predator, learn about the grooming process; the reason this case broke is because it started with one person finally believing the victim. Always believe when someone discloses abuse. Sexual abuse is not something to be ashamed of! The more we talk about it and educate ourselves and our children the better chances we have of preventing it from happening.
