While outside of Capadocia, Teresa becomes interested in defending an indigenous girl accused of murder. During a hearing, the girl speaks in a dialect no one can understand. Teresa does some research and realizes that Lorena's baby is dying somewhere. After rescuing the child, Teresa brings it home with her and avoids the authorities.
