Vikram Gandhi is the award-winning director of fiction and non-fiction films. His latest film Kumaré, in which he impersonates a religious leader and creates a following of real people, won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at South By Southwest 2011, and was released in over 20 countries. He has appeared on the Colbert Report, Nightline, Al Jazeera's The Stream, and numerous NPR programs. As a host and producer at Vice, Mr. Gandhi explores the absurdity of modern belief through stories of terrorism in India, tribal uprising in Papau New Guinea, government secrecy in Japan, and ultra-violence in Honduras. Mr. Gandhi was born in New York and graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Literature.
