VEEP Scores 9 Emmy Nominations

'Veep' was recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with nine award nominations. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was again nominated for her portrayal of Vice President Selina Meyer, a role for which she received Emmys in 2012 and 2013. In the supporting actor categories, Tony Hale and Anna Chlumsky were recognized for their respective roles as Gary Walsh and Amy Brookheimer. Gary Cole's guest turn as Kent Davison earned him a nod. 'Veep' was also recognized in the categories of outstanding comedy series, writing, art direction, casting and sound mixing.

In total, HBO received 99 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most of any network for the 14th consecutive year.
