Kevin Dunn has a vast resume that includes numerous roles in motion pictures and television. Dunn brings humanity to each one of his roles whether it is the principal rooting for one of his teachers in a mixed martial arts fight in 'Warrior,' to a blue collar, handy-man father in the 'Transformers' trilogy, to a corporate suit more concerned with money than human lives in 'Unstoppable,' or a damaged soul who bands together a group of degenerates in the HBO series 'Luck.'
Kevin was recently seen in Gavin O'Connor's 'Warrior' with Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte. 'Warrior' is 'Gladiator' set within a family of mixed martial arts fighters. Dunn played Joe Zito, the principal of the middle school where Joel Edgerton's character works. He also recently appeared in 'Fire with Fire' with Bruce Willis and Rosario Dawson, playing an FBI agent.
Kevin will appear in the upcoming film 'Frozen Ground' with John Cusack and Nicolas Cage, playing Lt. Bob Jent, an Alaska State Trooper.
Other recent films include 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' for which Kevin reprised his role from the first two films as Ron Witwicky, Sam Witwicky's(Shia LaBeouf) quirky, handyman father; Tony Scott's 'Unstoppable,' with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine where he plays Oscar Galvin, Rosario Dawson's boss and head of the train yard; 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen;' Woody Allen's 'Vicky Christina Barcelona' with Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz ; 'Lions For Lambs' directed by Robert Redford where he played Meryl Streep's editor; and 'The Gridiron Gang' with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. His other films include 'Black Dahlia,' 'All the King's Men,' 'I Heart Huckabees,' 'Almost Heroes,' 'Stir of Echoes,' 'Nixon,' 'Chaplin,' 'Godzilla,' 'Chain Reaction,' 'Small Soldiers,' '1492,' 'Bonfire of the Vanities,' and 'Mississippi Burning.' One of his best known roles is in the film 'Dave,' as press secretary Alan Reed opposite Kevin Kline as the president.
A busy actor seen regularly on television, Dunn has made dozens of guest appearances including playing a lawyer opposite Kathy Bates on David E. Kelley's 'Harry's Law,' a con artist opposite Josh Holloway's character; and as Sawyer on 'Lost.' He garnered great reviews for portraying Murray Wilson in the highly rated ABC miniseries 'The Beach Boys: An American Family.'
