Bio

Carolyn Strauss joined HBO in 1986. During her time as Executive Vice President, original programming and subsequently, President of HBO Entertainment, Strauss supervised the development and production of HBO's acclaimed and award-winning series programming, including 'The Sopranos,' 'Sex and the City,' 'Six Feet Under,' 'The Wire,' 'Carnivale,' 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' 'The Chris Rock Show,' 'Oz,' 'The Larry Sanders Show,' 'Arli$$,' 'Tracey Takes On,' and in late night 'Dennis Miller Live,' 'Def Comedy Jam,' 'Def Poetry,' 'Ali G,' 'The Kids in the Hall' and 'Mr. Show.' In 2008, Strauss stepped down from her post as President to focus more closely on producing. She now has several projects in series development.
