Karen's career has touched on many aspects of filmmaking: directing, writing, location managing, and even a bit of acting. Her projects have ranged from feature films to independent documentaries and have
been made on location - all over the world.
Karen was married to the award wining producer and director Robert F. Colesberry, a co-creator of the series, until his untimeley death in 2004. Karen continues as part of the original producing team of The Wire. Together they have received a George Peabody award and an American Film Institute award for TV program of the year.
