A blind barkeep, Butchie serves as Omar's banker and advisor — one of the few people the stick-up artist can trust. Quick to arrange for cash or muscle as the need arises, Butchie also stands as the lone point of contact for reaching out to Omar. Though Butchie still moves some drugs through his store — including the lethal "hot shots" that Avon Barksdale served at Jessup — he manages to stay out of the sights and off the minds of Baltimore's major players.
