Anwan Glover, born and raised in Washington, DC is currently the lead rapper for a succcesful area go-go band "Backyard Band". The band has been a gateway from the streets of the inner city and has allowed him to do something he was born to do entertain. The band is not the only thing that has been fueling inside him for so many years he has always known he has had a lot more talent to offer which is acting, he was cast in two independent films which one "Divided City" based on the city where he was raised gave him more enthusiasm for acting. He then entered proscout and went on to audition for the HBO series "The Wire" which he currently has a reoccurring role as Slim Charles. The role on The Wire has open a lot more doors and has put a lot of insight of what the future has in store for him. He has been seen in numerous magazines and music video's as the leading man in Vivian Green's Gotta Go Gotta Leave, Boyz n da hood's Dem Boyz, Raheem Devaughn's Guess Who Loves You More and a host of others. He currently has a radio slot on DC's number one radio station WPGC "The Ghetto Prince Show" on Sunday evenings. Amongst other things he is also a print model and has done ads for various clothing lines. In between his schedule he is one the leading spokesperson's to youth in the metropolitan area being awarded numerous awards including the NAACP Youth Leadership Award in 2004 and Outstanding spokesman to youth for HIV/AIDS prevention. He has been accepted in the New York Film Academy and will keep striving for bigger and better things to come.
