A young, eager reporter, Gutierrez has been at The Baltimore Sun for just five months, fresh from a stint at the Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. As she gets a taste of success, she goes from being satisfied with a contributed line, to waking up at dawn to get an early copy of her first front-page byline.
