Cynthia Mort wrote 'The Brave One,' the forthcoming crime drama about a New Yorker (Jodie Foster) who struggles to recover from a brutal attack by setting out on a mission for revenge. Directed by Neil Jordan, the film opens nationwide on September 14.
At present, Mort is working on a wide range of film projects in various stages of development. Her forthcoming scripts include an as-yet-untitled biopic about the late jazz musician and classical pianist Nina Simone, to star Mary J. Blige for MTV/Paramount Pictures and 'Let It Ride,' to which Rachel Weisz is attached.
