Most recently Marcus was a series regular, playing Peter Gray, on the long running CBS Drama, 'Judging Amy'. He will be seen next in the upcoming HBO series, 'Tell Me You Love Me,' as Jeff, in a recurring role. Amongst his other, numerous TV appearances, including Soaps and M.O.W.'s: 'Flying Blind' (Fox Series Regular), 'Cold Case,' 'Crossing Jordan,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'The X Files,' 'Cosby,' 'Homicide: Life On The Streets,' and 'Quantum Leap.'
Marcus can be seen in the upcoming Independent Feature film 'On The Doll'. Other film work includes: 'Hamlet,' 'Necessary Roughness,' 'Business of Strangers,' 'Mr. And Mrs. Bridge,' and 'Judy Berlin.'
Marcus' extensive theater credits include work on Broadway in Horton Foote's 'The Young Man From Atlanta' and at Lincoln Center, in Shakespeare's 'Measure For Measure'. Off-Broadway he has appeared at The Manhattan Theater Club, The Lambs and The WPA, amongst others. Regionally, Marcus has worked all over the country, from The Seattle Rep, to The Guthrie, The Goodman, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf, Williamstown, The Yale Rep and The Eugene O'Neil Theater Center.
An accomplished Musician, with over 25 years of experience, Marcus plays the electric bass professionally, doing studio session work, as well as live performances, with various bands, throughout Los Angeles and NYC. Marcus has collaborated recently with top players from bands such as Michelle Shocked, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakum, James Brown, Ray Charles, Edgar Winter, Tracy Chapman, Chick Corea, and James Montgomery. He currently plays with up-and-coming alternative country rocker, Olivea Watson. He is a member of Musician's Local 47.
Marcus is the son of former Major League Baseball Commissioner Bart Giamatti, and the brother of actor Paul Giamatti.
