Next step: the artists put together a first pass animatic. This rough animation gives
the developers a sense of how the shots depicted in the storyboard will work in a
rudimentary 3D environment with simple character models in place. The animatic
also functions as a rough cut so that the timing of the individual shots can be
established. |

Everyone knows that you only get one chance to make a first impression. So great
pains were taken to ensure that players' first introduction to Joey LaRocca -- the
player-character in "The Sopranos®: Road to Respect™" -- would be a memorable one.
The game's opening cinematic gives players an initial glimpse of Joey's fearless
attitude, and sheds some light on his past relationship with Tony Soprano...
