For Ilene Landress life before The Sopranos included nine years as a freelancer on numerous studio and independent feature film and television projects. As a senior Television executive at DreamWorks, Landress oversaw the studio construction and the first year of production on "Spin City," the first 4-camera film sit-com to be shot entirely in New York City. Additional network television producing credits include the "Burns Brothers Pilot" (20th century Fox for ABC), and "Dear Diary" (DreamWorks for ABC) a failed television pilot, released as a live action short film, which garnered DreamWorks its first Academy Award.
Feature film credits include: Co-Producer, "Drunks" (Showtime), Production Supervisor/UPM, "The Perez Family" (Goldwyn), "Naked in New York" (Fine Line), "Up Close and Personal" (Disney). Production Accountant credits include: Robert Redford's "Quiz Show", Sidney Lumet's "Stranger Among Us" and "Q&A" and Ron Howard's "Far and Away." Additional production credits include work on many studio films including Universal's "Sea of Love", "The Hard Way", Tri-Star/Columbia's "Mortal Thoughts", "The Freshman", "Family Business", and her first big job in the film business, "Crocodile Dundee."
Though the film business has been on the job training, Ms. Landress has a B.S. in Biology/Psychology from Union College in Schenectady, NY where she was the first female student body president, and an M.S. from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons.
