Ms. Smart cut her post-production teeth on the Emmy® Award winning series "Northern Exposure" where she was the Post Coordinator.
From there, she moved into the feature world at Amblin Entertainment as an Assistant Production Coordinator on "The Trigger Effect." Ms. Smart then joined the newly formed DreamWorks SKG Studios where she was a staff Post Coordinator, overseeing animated features such as "Prince of Egypt", "Ants" and "Shrek".
TV came calling again and Ms. Smart was the Associate Producer on "Sleepwalkers." Then MTV came calling and she helped develop two series, "Playback" and "Deconstruction" and produced their demos.
She became the Associate Producer on the Emmy® nominated TV series "Judging Amy" where she was part of the post-production team that pioneered Hi-definition transmission. She joined "The Sopranos" for their third season, as the Associate Producer when they were preparing to go Hi-Def.
Ms. Smart graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Film Production, and a minor in Philosophy from the University of Southern California where she also earned her M.F.A. in Film Production.
