CAST & Crew
Cara Buono
Cara Buono has had a career that has spanned every corner of film and television. From writing to directing to producing, she has had her hands in every aspect of the process - and still the best is yet to come.

Cara was last seen starring in the independent feature ARTIE LANGE'S BEER LEAGUE, released September 2006. Prior to that, she was Edith Banner in THE HULK, directed by Ang Lee. Most of her film work has been in the independent world in such features as NEXT STOP WONDERLAND, HAPPY ACCIDENTS, RIVER RED (all Sundance premieres), TWO NINAS, with Amanda Peet and Ron Livingston (winner Audience Award GenArt Film Festival), CHUTNEY POPCORN (winner Audience Award Berlin Film Festival), and Noah Baumbach's KICKING AND SCREAMING (NY Film Festival premiere).

She has appeared on Broadway in THE ROSE TATTOO, opposite Mercedes Ruehl and Anthony LaPaglia, directed by Bob Falls, SOME AMERICANS ABROAD, directed by Roger Michel, and THE TENTH MAN, directed by Ulu Grosbard. She returned to the off-Broadway stage in GOOD THING, directed by Jo Bonney, for the cutting edge company The New Group, where she won rave reviews for her role as a 20-year-old pregnant methamphetamine (crank) addict.

As a writer, Buono co-wrote WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY for Miramax films with director Brad Anderson. She wrote and directed the short film BAGGAGE, starring Minnie Driver and Liev Schreiber, which had its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival as well as the short film ANOTHER COMPLEX, starring Gil Bellows. She has adapted F. Scott Fitzgerald's first novel THIS SIDE OF PARADISE, also for Miramax Films.

Buono debuted in episode nine of the last season of THE SOPRANOS, and returns as a series regular this coming season as Michael Imperioli's pregnant wife Kelli. She was a series regular on THIRD WATCH (NBC) for the 2004-5 season playing paramedic Grace Foster.

Cara Buono was born and raised in the Bronx and attended Columbia University, where she earned a degree in English Literature and Political Theory in three years. Her name means good face (Buono in Italian is good and Cara in Spanish is face). Although a Bronx native, she is a Mets fan.
