Six Feet Under received 2 Emmy® awards at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards competition held August 28, 2006. Awards included Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Patricia Clarkson) and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or Special.

Six Feet Under received 9 Emmy® nominations including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Krause), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Frances Conroy), 2 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Joanna Cassidy, Patricia Clarkson), Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Alan Ball), and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Alan Ball).

Six Feet Under was nomiated for a SAG® award for best drama ensemble. The Screen Actors Guild will honor its own at the 12th Annual SAG® Awards ceremony on Sunday, January 29 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center .

10.31.2005 | HBO concludes exclusive two-year television deal with "Six Feet Under" Creator Alan Ball

HBO has concluded an exclusive two-year television deal with "Six Feet Under" creator Alan Ball to develop and produce original programming for the network, it was announced by Carolyn Strauss, president, HBO Entertainment. Ball's first project under the agreement will be an hour-long series based on the popular "Southern Vampire" books of Charlaine Harris.

06.22.2005 | Six Feet Under Soundtrack

Astralwerks is pleased to announce the release of the second volume of soundtrack music from the hit HBO® series Six Feet Under, entitled 'Six Feet Under: Everything Ends, Music from the HBO Original Series - Vol. 2.'

The soundtrack boasts a diverse and exciting selection of artists whose music has appeared in previous seasons of the show and in its promos. It will also feature exclusive tracks created just for the upcoming fifth and final season -- from some of music's hottest acts, including CAESARS, THE ARCADE FIRE and INTERPOL, as well as a new exclusive track from JEM.

Fans of Six Feet Under know that music is as integral a part of the show as the scripts or actors. Everything Ends is a stunning look at the richly crafted marriage of song and cinema that has become synonymous with Six Feet Under. The soundtrack will be released nationwide on June 28th.

Freddy Rodriguez (Federico Diaz), Six Feet Under won the Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor.

05.23.2005 | SFU Soundtrack

The song in the promo for the fifth season of Six Feet Under is "Breathe Me"by Sia. The Australian born artist, Sia Furler, has a couple of solo albums out in Europe and is well known as a vocalist with Zero 7.

"Breathe Me" will be featured on Six Feet Under Volume 2: Everything Ends which is being released in the US on June 21 on Astralwerks Records.
