In 1997, she made her feature film debut in the Frank Oz comedy "In and Out" playing Vickie Rayburn, a gifted student of Kevin Kline's sexually ambiguous English teacher.
More screen time came the following year with her turn as the quick-witted and reclusive Denise in the ensemble comedy, "Can't Hardly Wait." Ambrose continued to prove a talented performer and engaging screen presence with starring roles in the independent films "Swimming" and "Psycho Beach Party", which displayed not only her sense of humor, but her musical gifts as well.
