At just 23 years old, Ben Foster who just received a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role on Six Feet Under, has already established himself as one of the industry's most promising and accomplished talents, having appeared in numerous film and television projects with some of Hollywood's most respected actors and directors.
Ben has landed leading roles in two movies that will showcase his versatility as an actor. On April 16, 2004 audiences everywhere saw Foster starring alongside John Travolta in Artisan Entertainment/Marvel Studios' The Punisher, based on the Marvel Comics hero Frank Castle. Ben next stars opposite Bruce Willis in Hostage, which began filming mid-January 2004. Ben plays one of three perpetrators holding a suburbanite family hostage after a failed robbery attempt.
Foster's credits include eclectic and impressive performances in both television and film. Ben continues his memorable role this season on HBO's award winning series Six Feet Under, as Lauren Ambrose's love interest "Russell." He also received a 2003 Daytime Emmy® Award for his dramatic portrayal of 'Trevor Adams,' in Showtime's Original film Bang Bang You're Dead.
Ben starred in Northfork, a Polish brothers film, opposite James Woods, Anthony Edwards, Darhyl Hannah, and Nick Nolte, as well as 11:14 starring opposite Hillary Swank, Colin Hanks and Rachel Leigh Cook.
Foster's big break came when director Barry Levinson chose him to star as "Ben Kurtzman" in his Baltimore-based coming of age feature Liberty Heights. In 2000, Foster starred opposite Kirsten Dunst in Get Over It and later opposite Tim Allen and Rene Russo in Disney's Big Trouble. Foster was also part of the ensemble cast in the Emmy nominated HBO original film The Laramie Project. Foster also had a cameo last year in Joel Schumacher's Phone Booth.
