Summary: These are the lawyers you don't see in movies or TV: working long hours for low pay while representing indigent clients in a strained criminal-justice system that struggles to make "justice for all" a reality. An official selection at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, this documentary follows three public defenders in the Deep South, where they face the challenges of high bonds, strict mandatory sentencing and a culture that is traditionally "tough on crime." As two of their cases head to trial, these public defenders push themselves to their personal limits in their fight for justice. (TV14) (AC,AL)
