Summary: An icy Christmas Eve in Wichita, Kansas, is the setting for this "sharply written" (Variety) film about a pair of crooks who pull off a major embezzling scheme only to find they can't trust each other. The set-up: shady lawyer and strip-club owner Charlie Arglist (John Cusack) teams with porn peddler Vic (Billy Bob Thornton) to rip off a mob boss. The take: more than $2 million in cash. There are just a few problems to deal with...including the arrival of a mob hit man who has come looking for Charlie.On top of that, Charlie's been boozing and has the hots for his strip club's foxy manager, his ex-wife's intoxicated husband is creating havoc and, worst of all, Vic just might be a backstabber!
