Summary: It was the most dazzling showplace of the 1920s, Harlem's most notorious nightclub. On one side of the footlights, fabled black performers sang, shimmied, played up a storm of jazz. On the other side, white celebrities, socialites and big guns of crime found their thrills and made their deals. Richard Gere plays a musician caught up in the Cotton Club's dangerous night world. Also with Gregory Hines, Diane Lane, Lonette McKee, Bob Hoskins, James Remar, Nicolas Cage, Allen Garfield and Fred Gwynne.
