Summary: A renowned ballet company in Chicago takes on a challenging new dance project in this drama. The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago is an internationally respected dance company with a new development in its wing. The artistic director, Alberto Antonelli, is presented with a daunting project entitled "Blue Snake" from French-Canadian choreographer Robert Desrosiers. The dance is complicated and demanding, putting strain on the best of his dancers with mixed results. Young novice Ry (Neve Campbell) and longtime dancer Harriet reveal the exhausting toll, while Antonelli inspires them at every step whirling and turning the unique intricacies into a beautiful exceptional dance.
