Summary: An FBI profiler's hunt for a serial killer becomes compromised by her growing passion for a key witness in the case. Angelina Jolie stars as Special Agent Illeana Scott, a profiler sent to Canada to help authorities there stop a madman who brutally bludgeons his victims, hacks off their hands...and assumes their identities. When a young painter (Ethan Hawke) interrupts the killer during his latest crime, Scott senses a major break in the case. But will the attraction she shares with the handsome artist cloud her judgment?
