Summary: ''Stay' for a clever visual strategy' (Roger Ebert). A psychiatrist begins to experience strange alterations in reality when he takes on a suicidal patient in this mind-bending tale. Ewan McGregor stars as Dr. Sam Foster, a shrink whose new patient, an art student named Henry, reveals that he plans to kill himself in three days. What follows is a series of strange events and visions that leave Sam questioning reality--and his identity--in a scary surrealistic world. Naomi Watts co-stars as Sam's girlfriend Lila, whose past reveals some eerie similarities to Henry's life. Also with Ryan Gosling, Janeane Garofalo and Bob Hoskins.
