Summary: John Cusack, Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman lead an all-star cast in this riveting courtroom thriller based on John Grisham's bestseller. The defendant is a weapons manufacturer being sued by the wife of a shooting victim. In her corner is lawyer Wendell Rohr (Hoffman) who is hot to pin blame on the company that produces such weaponry; on the other side is Rankin Fitch (Hackman), a devious jury consultant who wields blackmail as his personal weapon of choice to sway jurors in his favor. But while Rohr and Fitch wage full-scale war in the courtroom, a wild card awaits in the person of a juror who has an agenda of his own.
