Summary: John Travolta delivers a "splendid, Jimmy Stewart-ish" (Hollywood Reporter) performance in this Capra-esque tale about a small-town mechanic who suddenly develops incredible intellectual powers. A kind-hearted soul who is liked by all, George Malley (Travolta) is struck by a flash of light that enables him to read and understand complex subjects like cryptology and hybrid gardening.
