Summary: A drug kingpin's rise and tragic fall is witnessed vicariously by a reporter who uses the criminal's diary as the basis for his new book. Adapted from the novel by Donald Goines, the film stars DMX as King David, a drug lord whose return to his old ghetto stomping grounds turns deadly. David Arquette co-stars as the writer whose deal with King to provide him with firsthand inspiration for his crime novel puts the scribe in the line of fire. Michael Ealy co-stars.
