Summary: Comedic all-star Leslie Nielsen of 'Naked Gun' vintage picks up where the classic cartoon series left off in this feature. Nielsen stars as the bumbling, near-sighted Magoo who lands square in the middle of a ruby theft. Of course, his practical blindness stands in the way of clearly seeing the gem upon its retrieval, and makes cracking the case none too easy. With the friendly bulldog Angus in tow, Magoo fights the bad guy (played by a devious Kelly Lynch) surrounded by a few notable characters including Ernie Hudson and Stephen Tobolowsky. Also with Nick Chinlund and Malcolm McDowell as Cloquet. Directed by Stanley Tong; based on the character "Mr. Magoo," owned by UPA Productions of America, written by Pat Proft & Tom Sherohman.
