Summary: A South American man reunites with the woman he has loved for over fifty years in this romantic film based on the novel. The attraction was intense for 19th-century teenagers Florentino and Fermina, but insisting she marry a man of high social status, Fermina's father forced him from her life. Despite declarations of love, Fermina dismisses Florentino who spends his five decades with her alone in his heart. Starring Javier Bardem, Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Benjamin Bratt.
