Summary: A Queens high school becomes the battleground for a war fought by six students after the accidental shooting of a police officer turns into a hostage crisis in this cautionary tale with "crackling dialogue, surprising intelligence and an emotional wallop" (New York Daily News). Lincoln High School is a dump: poor heating, overcrowding, crime.
