Summary: An environmentalist poet hires a pair of existential detectives to help him understand his life and his curious encounters with a mysterious man in this "metaphysical farce" (Hollywood Reporter). Desperate to know where his life has gone wrong, Albert Markovski hires Bernard and Vivian Jaffe, existential sleuths whose observance of Albert's life center on his problems with store executive Brad Stand. But to Albert's chagrin, Brad hires the Jaffes for himself--an irritation that prompts him and surly, ecology-minded fireman Tommy Corn to entertain the theories of a quirky philosopher.
