How to Die in Oregon

Duration :

108

Summary: In 1994, Oregon became the first state in the U.S. to legalize physician-assisted suicide. Since then, more than 500 Oregonians have ended their life under this law. This is their story. From HBO Documentary Films comes this compassionate, intimate exploration of Oregon's historic and controversial Death with Dignity Act. Named the winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Documentaries at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, the film skillfully interweaves the stories of several terminally ill people as they struggle with the ultimate decision as well as one widow who fights for a similar law in the neighboring state of Washington.
