Summary: Brendan Fraser stars as the screwball ape-man with a klutzy streak in this riotous retelling of the 1960s animated series. George is 'The Anti-Tarzan--an indomitable hunk raised by a family of apes. Leslie Mann co-stars as the wealthy love-interest and reason for George's voyage to the great outdoors (America). With "slapstick humor" (NY Times), Fraser brings the animals, and their jungle, to life. Co-starring Thomas Haden Church, Holland Taylor, Richard Roundtree, and John Cleese as the voice of an ape named "Ape."
