Summary: An undercover crime unit in 1949 L.A. fights fire with fire to put the clamps on a violent Los Angeles underworld and its notorious leader Mickey Cohen. Josh Brolin stars as the squad's gung-ho leader who gets the go-ahead to wage war on Cohen and his numerous crime rackets--by any means necessary. Co-starring Ryan Gosling--one of Brolin's crew who is also involved with Cohen's sexy moll--and Sean Penn as the gangster himself.
